However, since these leaks emerged nearly four months before Fontaine’s release, there’s a possibility that Hoyoverse may alter their character release schedule. Therefore, we advise taking this information with caution. Navia is anticipated to play a significant role in the Archon quest.

In addition to Fontaine characters, individuals from Sumeru, Inazuma, Liyue, and Mondstadt are expected to appear. Furthermore, Arlecchino, one of the 11 harbingers of the Fatui, is slated to make her debut in Fontaine, mirroring Wanderer (Scaramouche) who debuted in Sumeru.

She’s supposedly a 5-star character wielding a Sworld (of course) with rumored Pyro delusion. However, there’s not enough evidence to suggest she’ll be playable, although, based on Hoyoverse’s track record, she could be playable in updates 4.6 or 4.7, indicating she won’t be playable this year.

Leaks and rumors hint at Arlecchino and the future of the Fatui Harbingers lore-wise and playability-wise. Recent TC (Theorycrafting) suggests the Northern region of Mondstadt slated for release in Genshin Impact 4.3 (per leaks) is delayed, being replaced by Port Baydha in Sumeru, leading to Fontaine. As many NPCs suggest, there are multiple routes to Fontaine.

TC reports Arlecchino’s playability and the overall lot’s abstraction. AHQ predicts not all Harbingers will be playable, and **Spoiler alert** some will die in Genshin Impact 4.0. A leak suggests her kit will involve “puppeteering.”

The 4.0 live stream revealed little about characters besides the sibling trio, so we must rely on leaks about the Hydro traveler. From a reliable source, the Hydro Traveler’s kit has leaked and appears promising.

During the previous Lantern Rite in version 3.4, stories of Madame Ping, Guizhong, and Cloud Retainer emerged, sparking demands from players for playable versions of these characters. Rejoice! The Fontaine map appears relatively smaller or possibly equal in size to Sumeru’s rainforests. It’s confirmed that there are multiple entry points, all leading to Fontaine. One of these is where we encounter the injured Fontaine NPC, Julien.

Hoyoverse unveiled a new trailer revealing the inner workings of the court in the nation of wisdom, introducing Focalors, the Hydro Achon, Wriothesley, the police officer, Neuvilette, the president of the supreme court, Charolette, Waghild, the nurse, and Navia, associated with the navy. Additionally, we caught a glimpse of Arlecchino, one of the upcoming playable harbingers.

Fontaine’s exploration will span both land and sea. Characters will have an underwater oxygen bar, allowing for prolonged submersion. It remains uncertain whether this will be a fixed mechanic or will scale with the level of the statues of the seven or solely depend on Fontaine’s own level. The oxygen bar is distinctively blue. Exploration Mechanics in Genshin Impact 4.0 Fontaine

The teaser depicted the Traveler employing Hydro abilities, presumably acquired by interacting with one of the statues of the sevens. This led many to speculate that underwater exploration might be exclusive to the Traveler. However, a notable Genshin leaker, StepLeaks, suggests otherwise.

Regarding the Traveler’s underwater activities—releasing slashes to unlock chests—it appears to be a universal exploration mechanic activated when any character submerges, rather than a unique ability.

Little is known about the exploration in Genshin Impact 4.0, as not much was revealed during the 4.0 live stream, given that the release is still a month away. However, more details should emerge as we approach the official launch.

Genshin Impact 4.0 Bosses
