Understanding Baroque Works

Baroque Works, led by Sir Crocodile, is a ruthless crime syndicate comprised of delinquents, mercenaries, bounty hunters, and others. They specialize in infiltration, assassinations, and abductions, all under the guise of establishing a new supreme country in the One Piece universe.

The Baroque Works’ primary operation, “Operation Utopia,” was orchestrated by Crocodile, who masqueraded as the hero of Arabasta, purportedly rescuing the nation from pirates. However, his true aim was to exploit this clandestine network to foment civil unrest in Arabasta, framing the Nefertari family for the ensuing chaos.

Operation Utopia aimed to depose the current Arabasta ruler, the Nefertari family, installing Crocodile as their successor. Additionally, Crocodile coveted the ancient weapon, Pluton, aspiring to attain unparalleled power capable of challenging even the World Government.
