As you may know, Genshin Impact banners in each version have two phases — each featuring two characters and one weapon banner per phase showcasing the characters’ signature weapons.
In Genshin Impact 4.2’s first phase, we’ll see Furina, also known as Focalors, and Baizhu. Furina serves as an off-field DPS/Support character, complementing Pyro units well. Baizhu, conversely, fulfills a healing role, though Furina’s banner seems to overshadow his. If you’re set on pulling for Furina, here’s our pre-farming guide for the required materials.
In the second phase, the Yashiro Commission’s current head, Kamisato Ayato, will appear alongside Teyvat’s most humorous figure, despite the contrasting “Mahamatra” title, General Mahamatra Cyno of the Akademia. The weapons banner will showcase Ayato’s Haran Gepaku Futsu and Cyno’s Staff of the Scarlet Sands.
Expect early leaks for four-star weapons within the next two weeks, marking the first instance of all four-star characters leaking a month before a version release.
Understanding Genshin Banners
Genshin Impact features three types of banners: Limited Time Character, Weapon, and Permanent. While the Permanent banner is self-explanatory, the other two are limited. Each version of Genshin Impact consists of two phases, each with two limited-time character banners and one weapon banner. Each phase spans 21 days, and a patch lasts for 42 days.
