Google launched the Pixel 7 series this week, bringing its flagship phones to India, much to the delight of Pixel fans. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro feature the new Tensor G2 chipset, design changes, camera upgrades, and new features. This launch marks Google’s return to the Indian flagship phone market after several years, with the last models being the Pixel 3 and 3 XL.

Regarding design, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro resemble their predecessors, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, with some alterations. The camera visor, distinctive to the Pixel lineup, has been updated. The glass camera bar on the rear has been replaced with a seamless metal design blending into the frame, similar to the Galaxy S22 series. It now features a recyclable aluminum finish, with more prominent camera sensors.
The Pixel 7 series offers three color options. Snow and Obsidian are common to both the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. The Pixel 7 features Lemongrass as the third option, while the Pixel 7 Pro offers Hazel (with gold frame and accents). Share your favorite color in the comments below.
Regarding the display, the Pixel 7 Pro boasts a large 6.7-inch QHD+ screen with a slight curve and variable 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 sports a more pocket-friendly design with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. Both models feature OLED panels with a punch-hole selfie camera, ensuring a vibrant and sharp viewing experience.
The Pixel 7 series features a distinctive camera visor with notable upgrades. The Pixel 7 has a matte camera island, while the Pixel 7 Pro features a glossy finish. The standard model boasts a 50 + 12MP dual-camera setup, while the Pro version offers a 50MP + 48MP + 12MP triple-camera system. These enhancements enable features such as Cinematic Mode, Super Res Zoom 2.0, Macro Focus, and more. Both models share a 10.8MP selfie camera.
Google Nails Pricing for Pixel 7 Series!
The Pixel 7 series became available for pre-order in India on October 6, simultaneously with global markets, and quickly sold out. After numerous setbacks, Google appears to have finally mastered its pricing strategy in India (unlike with the Pixel 6a), potentially attracting fans to the standard Pixel 7.
For those unfamiliar, the Pixel 7 is priced at Rs 59,999, and the Pixel 7 Pro at Rs 84,999. Sales commence on October 11.
