7 Features We Want Rockstar to Add in GTA 6

Rockstar Games is notorious for its lengthy development cycles. A glaring example of this is the successor to GTA 5. Fans worldwide patiently awaited over a decade before catching a glimpse of GTA 6’s trailer. From reimagining Vice City to introducing Lucia, their inaugural female protagonist, Rockstar strives for perfection.

Yet, as a seasoned GTA player, I sense certain omissions in the series that warrant reconsideration. After much contemplation, I’ve compiled a list. Without further delay, here are seven elements I believe Rockstar should reintroduce in GTA 6.

1. Enhanced Notoriety System

Discussing Grand Theft Auto without addressing the notoriety system feels incomplete. Thus, I advocate for a revamped notoriety system in GTA 6. Historically, Rockstar Games has employed a star system wherein criminal activity escalates stars. Removal of these stars necessitates arrest, evasion, or unfortunate demise. GTA 6 could greatly benefit from reintroducing a bribery system. Picture a scenario: a swarm of law enforcement pursuing you, and a simple bribe facilitates evasion.

Another intriguing facet glimpsed in the GTA 6 trailer is the portrayal of social media. While the trailer merely showcases individuals sharing videos, Rockstar has an opportunity to integrate social media functionality for players to mitigate notoriety levels through hacking police devices akin to Watch Dogs.

Consider implementing positive social media PR tactics akin to the preachers or munadis in the Assassin’s Creed notoriety system. Engage influencers to endorse your brand for added exposure!

Expanding on eliminating law enforcement, reintroducing the six-star wanted level by Rockstar could heighten excitement significantly. This addition not only amplifies action but also aligns with the game’s essence. A promising proposition.

2. Elaborate & User-Friendly Interiors

GTA, fundamentally, is an open-world game. Exploring and cruising cities is immensely enjoyable. Yet, that sensation isn’t fully captured indoors. While past games like GTA 4 and San Andreas offered accessible interiors, they were insufficient. Therefore, I believe that incorporating multiple buildings with proper interiors would enhance immersion.

Rockstar ought to reintroduce salons, additional restaurants, pawn shops, and gyms. Moreover, basic buildings with simple interiors could diversify the environment. These could merely serve as spaces for players to enter, enhancing variety. Perhaps Rockstar could include some easter eggs or unlockables? Ensuring the city feels more accessible would greatly enrich the open-world experience. It may seem like a minor request, but it’s the attention to detail that counts.

3. Realistic Simulation Features

Red Dead Redemption 2 players know Arthur’s bread grows in real time. This simulation addition was hailed and loved by players for its realism. As a fan of realism, I hope GTA 6 incorporates this.

Forget RDR 2 for a minute. Remember San Andreas? Veterans recall CJ’s body responded to diet and exercise in real time. Eat too many Cluckin’ Bell chicken wings, and you gain fat. But hitting the gym made him lose it and get buff.

Rockstar could enhance this by adding dialogues triggered only by your body state. NPC responses to your physique would add personality to GTA 6, and I’m all for it!
