Locating House of Enlightened in Starfield
Note: To find the chest, you must have the Raised Enlightened trait. Without it, further progress is impossible.
- Land in the Viewport area of New Atlantis and head towards the city.
- Ascend the ramp and proceed to the “Hotel & Shopping” area adjacent to the designated building.
- Scale the stairs of “The Viewport” and continue past Jemson Mercantile on the right. You may recognize this building if you previously traded weaponry, items, and gear in Starfield.
- Look for a narrow corridor between Jemson Mercantile on the left and Terrabrew Coffee on the right. Walk down this corridor and you’ll find an elevator.
- Inside the elevator, select “The Well” to descend.
House of Enlightened Chest Location in Starfield
- In The Well, walk straight for a few meters, then glance to the left.
- Below, you’ll spot the house. Jump over the railing and enter the left door.
- Meet Andy Singh, the house leader. Optionally, bypass conversation and proceed down the stairs on the right.
- Descend the stairs, turn left twice, and find the Enlightened chest ahead. Claim rewards effortlessly, no combat required.
- Voila! You’ve located the House of Enlightened Chest in Starfield. Simple, isn’t it?

In terms of Starfield rewards, the Enlightened chest offers basic items, including literature on their religion and an Inclement Weather Outfit boosting player health by 10. Additionally, there are Med Packs, Snake Oil, and a milk pack.

Removing the Raised Enlightened Trait
If you’ve claimed the chest but no longer desire the raised enlightened trait, speak to Andy Singh. Start the conversation, and you’ll find it as the first option. Select “[Raised Enlightened] I’m not sure I want to be a part of the Enlightened anymore.” Andy will then try to convince you to stay with various arguments.
After his speech, choose the first two options, and Andy will let you go. Overall, it’s a smooth conversation with no issues. Once finished, you’re free of the Raised Enlightened trait.
