Computex 2019, currently ongoing in Taiwan, sees Dell introducing its latest XPS and Inspiron laptops. The company debuts a range of models, including the XPS 13, XPS 15, Inspiron 5000, and more.
Dell XPS 13 2-in-1
The new Dell XPS 13 is a convertible 2-in-1 with a sleeker design, promising up to 2.5 times better performance. Featuring a revamped display boasting a 16:10 aspect ratio and edge-to-edge design, Dell touts a 7% larger viewing area. Notably, the webcam relocates from the bottom bezel to the top, addressing a common complaint among users of the Dell XPS lineup.
Dell has updated its XPS 13 lineup with FullHD+ and UHD+ display options, allowing users to enjoy HDR content with HDR400 certification and Dolby Vision on the UHD+ panel. The XPS 13 2-in-1 debuts as Dell’s first laptop featuring Intel’s latest 10th-gen processors.
Available from July 2019, the XPS 13 2-in-1 starts at $999.99.
Dell XPS 15
The flagship XPS 15 now boasts 9th-gen Intel processors, including up to an octa-core i9 CPU and up to GTX1650 GPU. It offers up to 64GB RAM and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage.
XPS 15 features a 4K UHD display with Dell’s InfinityEdge design. Additionally, the webcam’s placement has been adjusted to the top bezel for improved usability. Dell also offers an OLED option for higher contrast ratios, claiming highlights up to 40 times brighter and blacks up to 10 times darker.
Dell enhances connectivity with the new Killer AX1650 network adapter built on Intel’s WiFi 6 chipset, ensuring support for the latest 802.11ax WiFi standards for improved throughput in crowded networks.
The Dell XPS 15 will be available in the next few weeks, starting at $999.99.
New Dell Inspiron Laptops
Inspiron 15 7000
The new Inspiron 15 7000 boasts an ultralight design, powered by Intel’s 9th-gen processors with up to 8 cores, up to 16GB RAM, and dual NVMe SSD options. Additionally, it features the Nvidia GeForce GTX1650 GPU for graphics.
Dell integrates the fingerprint reader and power button into the keyboard, offering a full-size layout, including a numpad, on this compact device.
Interestingly, the Inspiron 15 7000 can detect its placement on a desk or lap and adjust thermal profiles accordingly.

Dell Inspiron 13 5000
Dell launched the new Inspiron 13 5000 at Computex 2019, featuring an ultralight and thin design, a 13-inch display, and support for mobile broadband. The laptop targets on-the-go professionals and includes an optional microSIM slot for internet connectivity without WiFi.
The Inspiron 13 5000 is available now, starting at $579.99.
Dell Inspiron 11 3000
Also showcased was the Dell Inspiron 11 3000 — an 11-inch entry-level laptop with 7th gen AMD processors. Designed for basic everyday use, it comes with eMMC storage and a convertible 2-in-1 design.
The Inspiron 11 3000 will be available starting June 10, priced from $349.99.
New Inspiron AIOs
Alongside laptops, Dell launched two all-in-ones at the event. The Inspiron 24 5000 and Inspiron 27 7000 AIO feature Dell’s InfinityEdge design, with 23.8-inch and 27-inch displays respectively. Both come with a pop-up webcam and forward-firing speakers below the display.
The AIOs include Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors, with optional Nvidia MX110 graphics.
The Inspiron 24 5000 and Inspiron 27 7000 will be available from July 26, starting at $699.99 and $949.99 respectively.
